The opening ceremony of NTU EMBA Orientation was formally unveiled to familiarize the freshmen of NTU-Fudan class, Taipei and Fudan class with EMBA learning characteristics and their classmates for building a good relationship among one another. College of Management, NTU organized a three-day O’Camp for students of both sides in four classes from Feb. 24th through Feb. 26th . The opening ceremony, held at the grand hall, invited Vice President and CFO of NTU, Li, Shu-Hsing, Dean of College of Management, NTU, Guo, Ruey-Shan, Deputy Dean of College of Management, Fudan University, Yin, Zhi-Wen, Deputy Dean and EMBA CEO of College of Management. Dr. Hsieh, Ming-Huei and numerous teachers. For the purpose of broadening students’ horizon and promoting interdisciplinary thinking, Department of Physics, NTU and Deputy Vice President for International Affairs, Prof. Jiun-Huei Proty Wu, Ph.D was especially invited as a host speaker for a human culture lecture with the topic, “Universe Management”. ![]() Representing NTU, Vice President and CFO of NTU Li, Shu-Hsing welcomed the freshmen. Vice President and CFO of NTU Li, Shu-Hsing, on behalf of NTU, welcomed the join of freshmen and said, “NTU provides the best learning platform and professional sports link where so long as students need to work hard in this treasure mountain, you are guaranteed with great growth and harvest. Keeping going till achieve the goal without afraid of working hard and tiredness is the best spirit of NTU EMBA. Dean of College of Management, NTU, Guo, Ruey-Shan demonstrated that professional and artistic aspects co-exist in management; in fact, the universality of management is everywhere in our daily life. Taking advantaging of an image game, Dean, Guo, Ruey-Shan let students to understand that there’s a learning inertia where experiences form an inertial thinking which influences the judgment made by our brain. Most of the time, we have no idea what we have because something hides in the subconscious mind; consequently, drawing them into awareness is the key to exploit the potentiality when needed. The effect can’t be underestimated that discovering what used to be not known but, in fact, subconsciously known by yourself. Management programs won’t be the most unforgettable learning chances, unless it helps you reflecting on and understanding those experiences you had in the past. If this objective can be achieved, you’ll be capable of handling tough issues, encountering in the further with experiences and reflection, a knowledge which won’t fade away. After the end of human culture lecture, the group courses of O’Camp was on the show and CEO of College of Management, EMBA, Dr. Hsieh, Ming-Huei briefly described the meaning of O’Camp before the departure to have the freshmen adjust their attitude and start afresh with an open mind for accepting different people and things. The attended students and teachers took 7 sightseeing buses in total, offered by the school sister with NTU-Fudan 7th class, Chen, Yi-Xuan,and made a trip to Mabu Ville, Beipu Township in Hsinchu. Collaboration and Convergence”, followed by a discussion on group names among each group within a limited time and production of team flags based on the NTU EMBA spirit. On the next day, each group gave a team introduction by slogan or performance in 60 seconds for which a jury formed by the teachers evaluated with scores. At last, the 16th group, “Ying-MBA”won the champion. |
