Dr. Liwei Yang's research interests focus in information retrieval, natural language processing, and social media analytics. He devoted himself to the development of large-scale full-text search engine and has been providing leading technology solutions for enterprise since year 2000. He has obtained more than 20 patents for natural language processing and web mining in Greater China. He leads his team to provide OpView, the largest social listening platform in Taiwan. OpView scans more than millions of posts every day, including popular social media sites, news websites, forums, blogs, etc. With the advanced semantic analysis technologies, OpView offer comprehensive functions to monitor and analyze online conversations, which can help companies to know more about public opinions and the trend of the markets.

Dr. Liwei Yang also serves as the assistant professor in National Taiwan University, and the member of National Standards Technical Committee on Information and Communication in Taiwan. He received his Ph. D. degree in Information Management from National Taiwan University.
