In this Monday morning we had an exciting event happening at the C.C. Hong Memorial Hall at Management Building I; It was Sungkyunkwan University’s EMBA program joining us all the way from Korea, for a short-term lecture session prior to their visit on Taiwan based companies for their Global Study Trip. In site, we also had the pleasure to share the whole experience with Prof. Bou Wen Lin, Associate Dean of International Affairs at NTU’s College of Management, alongside our lecturers for the day, Prof. Miriam Garvi and Prof. Jin-Su Kang.

The lecture was particularly designed to make it an interesting and insightful one for our guests from our partner school. In pursuance of that, we had our very prestigious staff members in Prof. Miriam Garvi and Prof. Bou Wen Lin. Moreover, NTU’s College of Management invited Prof. Jin-Su Kang, Associate Professor at National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) to collaborate with the lecture and build a unique experience.

The session was kicked off by Prof. Bou giving the welcome address and a colorful introduction to both NTU and its College of Management.

Followed by it, it was time for our first lecture, conducted by Prof. Miriam Garvi.
Prof. Garvi is one of the many talented professors that NTU has in its roster. Precisely, she specializes her research in the Responsible Leadership area. She was able to share a wonderful lecture on it and how future leadership is assumed and supposed to be shaped.

Subsequent to a much-needed refreshments and cake break, it was Prof. Jin-Su Kang’s turn to enlighten us on the Economic Differences Between Korea and Taiwan. The lecture was also provided in Korean language to please our dear visitors.

To end the session, Prof. Sang Kyun Kim, Director of SKKU’s EMBA program, thanked NTU, its staff and everyone present for the opportunity and gifted our lecturers with a present.

Any of our current students interested in participating in NTU’s exchange program are highly encouraged to check our friends from Sungkyunkwan University out. Big thank you to all SKKU’s EMBA program members and hope to see you all again soon!
