Campus Life

Being a Global MBA student means being a part of a close-knit community sharing an academic and social experience. While you will certainly collaborate with your peers during your studies, we highly encourage our students to socialize outside of the classroom. The value of an MBA can be measured in part by the professional networks and social bonds developed. By bringing together talented young professionals from all corners of the globe, we hope to facilitate life-long friendships and professional associations as part of the total Global MBA experience.

First Steps into the Global MBA

Between starting a new academic program and possibly relocating to a new country, there are several unfamiliar processes to navigate. While we aim to provide a clear path for new students to follow, some confusion is inevitable. To reduce some of this uncertainty our students and faculty have come together to implement several initiatives to support incoming students. Keep reading below to learn more!

GET CONNECTED

After being accepted to the Global MBA program, you will receive an invitation to a class LINE chat group and a Facebook page.

LINE is a messaging application similar to WhatsApp or WeChat and is the most common messaging channel throughout Taiwan and much of Asia. This Line chat group serves as a common space in which classmates may share information and have questions answered by the senior class.

On GMBA Facebook, you will meet current students, alumni and Office members. It will be one of the best ways for you to develop research, communicate, network, market yourself or ask help.

INTRODUCE YOURSELF

The Global MBA experience begins with an orientation session designed to welcome students to the program and communicate what can be expected during their studies and what is expected from them. The orientation is also a time where most incoming students will meet face to face for the first time. To help break the ice, we tend to invite students to participate team building sessions or workshops guided by professional facilitators or GMBA faculties.

FORGE RELATIONSHIPS

Where can I find an apartment? How can I see a doctor? Which classes should I register for? To help settle in, first-year students and seniors form small groups to aid in navigating the early stages of the Global MBA journey. Whether you’re a local or international student, the support group is there to get your questions answered and help acclimate to life at NTU.

Get Busy!
