The Department of Finance at National Taiwan University is currently seeking applicants for tenure-track, open-rank positions in finance starting in August, 2025. All areas of specialization will be considered. Candidates must be able to teach in English.

A successful candidate should hold a Ph.D. in finance (or a related field) and should be committed to high-quality research. Furthermore, faculty members are expected to devote to teaching excellence (both undergraduate and graduate levels), and advise student theses/dissertations. Cross-disciplinary research is respected and encouraged. Our Dean, Professor Shing-Yang Hu is setting up interdisciplinary research teams to pursue international collaboration and intra-college cooperation for interdisciplinary projects.

Located in the city center of Taipei, National Taiwan University is the most prestigious university in Taiwan. College of Management is an AACSB-accredited institution. The Finance Department is building a strong research group in an excellent research environment. The department has a comprehensive data bank and provides excellent support for faculty research. It currently has 28 full-time faculty members, publishing in top finance, economics, management, real estate, and insurance journals. The Finance Department has an active research seminar series, with papers presented by local and global scholars. It offers undergraduate, MBA, and PhD programs. The main campus is located in the center of Taipei city. Hiring is contingent upon eligibility to work in Taiwan.

Total compensation includes salary plus health, retirement, and travel and professional development funding.
