Research Field Summary
William started his entrepreneurial journey in college, where he built and sold his first business before attending military service. Moving to US, he was appointed as Asia Business Development Director at the world’s largest retailer, during which he oversaw the strategic business development in Asia region, formed global innovative partnerships and implemented logistics optimization.
Following his senior management position, he returned to Asia to establish a private equity fund on behalf of Marmon Group, then went onto finding his own venture capital – WISKEY CAPITAL, focusing on early-stage investments. William has since participated in the medical domain as VP of Strategy at Min-Sheng General Hospital, where he successfully led the business to IPO and expansion in China; and started his angel fund targeting biomedical material technology, fin-tech, online media and vertical social network platforms.
William has developed international management experience in US, Europe and China and accumulated extensive domain know-how in retail, financial, medial and health service industries, in which he has completed several sizable cross-border M&A transactions. An experienced professional with innovative attitude in exploring new business models and markets, William integrates his extensive academic research and practical experiences, forming distinctive foresights to push the boundaries of big data analysis, platform economics, innovative & entrepreneurial management. He continues to expand his investment influences while teaching at several universities, including National Taiwan University, sharing his insights on “Evolving Intelligence” – combining academic theories and practical practices – to future entrepreneurs.
