Congratulations to our department's Distinguished Professor Jiuh-Biing Sheu. He has been appointed as the new editor-in-chief by the internationally renowned academic journal- Transportation Research Part E-Logistics and Transportation Review. All members of NTU BA are really proud of him!

Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review publishes informative articles drawn from across the spectrum of logistics and transportation research. Part E's aims and scope are complementary to Transportation Research Part A: Policy and Practice, Part B: Methodological, Part C: Emerging Technologies, Part D: Transport and Environment and Part F: Traffic Psychology and Behaviour. The complete set forms the most cohesive and comprehensive reference of current research in transportation science.

Since 2004, Professor Sheu has served as a deputy editor of the journal with dedication. Until this year, the publisher Elsevier set all of its journal editors a new tour of duty. Editor-in-Chief duty may be reappointed once every 3 years , and the tenure of incumbent editor-in-chief ,Wayne Talley, is 13 years until 2012.  By way of double assessment and recommendation, the publisher and editors invited Professor Sheu to serve up as Editor-in-Chief since 2013. Professor Sheu has been formally taking over the journal's editorial affairs.

Transportation Research Part E is one of the world-renowned international transport and logistics supply chain journals. What Professor Sheu has done is highly related to the publishing performance and the research around the world. "This is not personal glory, but the meaning of taking a higher and further responsibility in international academic field. My personal capacity is limited , only the scholar's spirit of dedication supports me to keep going without any fear." Professor Sheu said humbly.
