By 2020, over 200 institutions, accounting for over $45 trillion in investment funds, have adopted ESG investing principles. Adoption is driven in part by Sustainable Development Goals, international institutions such as the Paris Accord, government regulation, social pressure, and an inherent desire by companies to generate shared value.
This intensive course explores the key issues and policies that drive ESG Investing. Through a combination of cases, guest speakers and lectures, students will be introduced to the key concepts underlying ESG, environmental sustainability, strategic governance, and social responsibility. We also look at the key measurement systems for ESG compliance and investment decision-making.
