2019 NFAC Youth—Challenging Your Investment Mindset

NFAC Youth, originally called NTU Finance Life Camp, has transformed into a new enticing form in the academic year 2019, providing participants with stimulating courses and innovative camping games during the five-day adventure. In addition to a variety of games, mock interviews, and corporate visits, NFAC Youth also invited industry and academic experts to give talks and design workshops, equipping all the participants with the ability to write a company analysis report and compete in business competitions. 

The registration was high this year, with 144 outstanding students from all over Taiwan eventually standing out. In the Day 1 opening lecture, Prof. Hu in the Department of Finance not only introduced finance theories but also shared his own experience, hoping to encourage participants to dream big and pursue their future with enthusiasm. Filed games in the afternoon brought the participants closer to each other, and the Finance workshop in the evening provided the participants with an in-depth understanding of accounting and economic concepts.

In order to achieve good results in the RPG on the second day, each team rushed around the campus and met those exquisitely dressed-up NPCs, totally engaging in the exciting game. In the game Finance Knowledge King, the hosts wittily conversed with each other and made the whole audience break out in laughter.

As the highly anticipated analysis competition unfolded on the Day 4, teams collaborated and applied the knowledge they had acquired in the past few days and completed a quality report. On the last day, participants visited the enterprise, unveiling the mysterious mask of the financial workplace. In the evening, the seniors shared their study plans and experience in preparing for GSAT and Advanced Subjects Test with all the participants.

At the very end of the camp, all the participants and staff watched the five-day retrospective film and sang the camp song together, marking a perfect ending to NFAC Youth. After the camp was over, participants and staff had a group photo taken in front of Building 1, College of Management. Undoubtedly, this unforgettable summer would be imprinted in everyone’s memory.
