Usually, the online course selection session commerces a month prior to the beginning of the semester. To begin with the course selection, students are required to :

Log in to the Online Course Information System to learn the courses available this semester. 

After you have learned some basic facts about the course selection system, you need to wait until the course selection period starts, and follow the instructions below:

Pre-registration Stage 1

Pre-registration Stage 2

You may log in to the Online Course Selection System to check your course results after the Pre-registration Stage 1 results are announced.  You may add additional courses or drop courses you do not wish to take.

After classes begin, you may attend as many classes as you wish during the first two weeks while simultaneously adding/dropping courses. During this period, you can add courses in one of the following designated selection methods:

Method 1: First-Come, First-Served

You may add courses directly until the maximum capacity of 400 students is reached.

Method 2: Obtaining Authorization Code

You must obtain an authorization code from instructors to add courses. If you have already arrived in Taiwan, you are suggested to attend the first class and ask for the Authorization Code. If you cannot attend the first class in person (currently quarantined or have not arrived in Taiwan), please write an email to the professor and state your situation and ask kindly for the Authorization Code.

Method 3: First-Come, First-Served & Obtaining Authorization Code

During the first week after the classes begin, the students register the courses, and the courses will be allocated based the students’ preference order. From the second week, the courses add method will be by inputting a permission number in the course selection system.

1. It is possible that some of the courses you are interested in do not have online course outlines or syllabuses available; you may have to decide based on the course names alone at the moment.
2. During the 1st and 2nd Course Selection Period, you can add/drop courses using the online course selection system.
   Not all courses open to exchange students during the 1st and the 2nd course selection period. Most courses are limited to students from the course offering departments during these 2 course selection periods. are o

Courses are not allocated on a first come first serve basis; instead, all students are placed in a roster and are selected randomly by the computer system at the end of each course selection period. Students must log in to the course selection results to view their course list during the assigned period listed on the course selection schedule above.
4. Exchange students are encouraged to attend desired classes during the first 2 weeks of the semester (course “shopping” period).
5. Final course selection - online course add/drop period (course “shopping” period) will take place in the first two weeks of classes. During this period, you will be able to add (using the selection methods stated on NTU online course information website) and/or drop courses (with no “W” [Withdraw] notifications on the transcript) on the online course selection system. As all students at NTU have the same course selection schedule, the system sometimes experiences technical failure due to the massive number of users logging in simultaneously. Students are strongly advised to contact the help desk or the College of Management international office when they experience technical difficulties with the course selection system during the online course add/drop period to avoid future complications.
