First of all, they learned about Taiwan's traditional festivals through briefings and Q&A, and we introduced the origin of Taiwan's night market. Second, through the point-based booth game, exchange students experienced Taiwanese night market culture such as ring toss, fishing, and mahjong bingo. The points accumulated in the first two parts can be exchanged for sweet potato balls, sausages with glutinous rice, stinky tofu, fried chicken, fried tofu and other night market snacks. The activity is 100 minutes in total, and the three parts are allocated 40 minutes, 30 minutes, and 30 minutes respectively. In terms of staffing, a total of three people participated in the preparation process. From July, online meetings were held to discuss and write plans. In August, the final version of the plan was completed and intensive preparations began in mid-September. Except for three team members, we also had four helpers served as game hosts and getting food that day. Regarding the feedback given by the exchange students during or after the activity, they mentioned that mahjong bingo is the most difficult one, very challenging but interesting. Most foreign students did not enjoy the special aroma of stinky tofu. The overall design of the activity is great, but it will be even better with beer next time. |
