2024 Company Visit to CyberLink HQ

NTU GMBA students recently participated in an extraordinary extracurricular activity under the Industry Mentoring Program (IMP) – a company visit to CyberLink’s headquarters in Taiwan. The event offered a unique opportunity to explore CyberLink’s innovative technologies, gain insights into business strategies, and engage with cutting-edge AI applications.

CyberLink introduced its global operations and innovative contributions to the tech industry. Headquartered in Taiwan, CyberLink has a presence in countries like Japan, the USA, and the UK, offering renowned software products such as PowerDirector, PhotoDirector, and AI solutions like FaceMe®.

GMBA students were warmly welcomed by the President of CyberLink’s Business Unit 2. Her presentation highlighted the company’s achievements, including its globally top-ranked facial recognition engine and its transition to subscription-based services. She emphasized the role of AI in CyberLink’s solutions, such as FaceMe®, which integrates biometric identification into smart home devices, retail systems, and digital onboarding platforms.

Interactive sessions followed, led by Product Manager for security solutions, and Global Marketing Director. They showcased CyberLink’s innovative tools and partnerships, including collaborations with global brands like Toyota. Students explored the practical applications of AI-powered software, such as Promeo, which streamlines digital marketing campaigns.

The highlight of the day was a design competition where students worked in teams using CyberLink tools. Winners received 7-11 coupons, and participants submitting CVs entered a draw for a HomePod Mini. CyberLink’s thoughtful hospitality, including personalized name tags and refreshments, ensured a welcoming atmosphere.

This visit demonstrated NTU GMBA’s commitment to bridging academia and industry. Students not only deepened their understanding of AI and digital media but also built connections with industry leaders. The event left participants inspired and equipped for the dynamic business world ahead.
