「 Alumni Lifetime Learning Seminars」

Case study: Patterns for enterprise to grow and innovative operation in the Greater China market.

 

Dear fellow students, here comes again an Alumni seminar!

To extent the goal of lifetime learning for alumni members, the NTU EMBA Alumni Club and Alumni Foundation have especially join force with the College of Management, NTU, to establish the Alumni Lifetime Learning Seminars series, and the first case study seminar will be “Patterns for enterprise to grow and innovative operation in the Greater China market.”. Cases of Chinese-run enterprises operating in the Greater China area are selected for you to have insights on the new business models adopted by Chinese-run enterprises, understand competitions, challenges, and opportunities in different trades, and help you to acquire new concepts and values from these case studies of Chinese-run enterprises.

Starting in October and 4 months in a roll, a case study per month will be organized; they are hosted by Prof. Ming-Zhe Tang, Prof. Ming-huei Xie, Prof. Ruei-sian Guo, and Prof. Chong-xing Huang. The schedule is:

♦   Case study 1:10/15 - Hurricane Xiaomi – a lesson of enterprise competition strategy from the legend of Xiaomi

♦    Case study 2:11/16 – Ctrip.com: a transition of distributor, hosted by Prof. Ming-huei Xie.

♦    Case study 3:12/8 – Taobao.com, hosted by Prof. Ruei-sian Guo

♦    Case study 4:1/14 – Budget airlines – hosted by Prof. Chong-xing Huang

♦ Hosted by Prof. Ming-Zhe Tang and former chief finance officer of Xiaomi, Mr. Ming-duo Yu.

♦ Time: 2014/10/15(Wed.) 14:00~17:00

♦Location: Kuan Te Lecture Hall, 2F, Bldg. 1, College of Management, NTU (2F, No. 50, Ln 144, Keelung Rd. Sect. 4, Taipei City)

♦ Fee: NT$1,000 for members of the Foundation and NT$2,000 for non-members. (Fee includes lecturer’s fee, venue rental, hand-outs, and refreshment). (Due to limited vacancy, this seminar accepts registration by remittance only. As an incentive for alumni members to return to school for refresh learning, the Alumni Club will sponsor its members NT$1,000 per person. )

This case study seminar is limited to NTU EMBA alumni members, Global Entrepreneurs Class alumni members, and Chinese Enterprise Leadership Heritage Class alumni members. Each of the 4 seminars requires separate registration. This registration is for Hurricane Xiaomi – a lesson of enterprise competition strategy from the legend of Xiaomi on 10/15. Vacancy is limited (Kuan Te Lecture Hall accommodates up to 60 persons) and please register early before too late.
