Dear NTU EMBA Partners,

Do you still remember the 1st President Cup of School Relay Marathon that you registered with your classmates early last year? Do you regret not being well-prepared last year and wish to get the championship back this year? Or you have heard of it, but never got a chance to join us? Don’t worry! Here comes the 2nd President Cup of School Relay Marathon!

Same spirit that we’ve inherited from the 1st President Cup of School Relay Marathon: apart from pursuing growth in knowledge and career, we enter the EMBA course is to have a healthy and diverse experience of life. The 2nd Relay Marathon that everyone’s looking forward to will be held in the NTU campus soon!

No matter you are coming here for the championship, for the competition itself, for building up friendships or for whatsoever, you are always welcome. So let’s grab your friends and form a relay team to enjoy the funs of in school marathon!

Time: 7:00 a.m. – 12 p.m., 14 APR 2013 (Sun)

Location: Playground of the NTU Main Campus

Registration:

(a)  Registration Procedures: Fill in the registration form and print out a copy. Submit the registration for before 17:00 on 22 MAR 2013; no registration fee is required.

Conditions:

A.      Event:

(a) 21km school relay marathon

B.      Qualifications:

(a)    NTU EMBA students, who have completed the registration procedures for the academic year of 2012, and academic staffs, who have effective teaching certificate.

(b)   Alumni (related certification is required).

C.       Participants’ Categories:

(a)    Academic staff and student groups

(b)   Alumni group

D.      Competition Methods

(a) 7 runners per team (each team must have more than 2 female runners) and every runner runs 3kms. Reserves: each team has 2 females and 2 males, totally 11 team members. No adjustment is allowed after the registration.

(b) NTU EMBA students need to be registered by year of class as the unit, whereas academic staffs are considered as one unit and no restrictions in team numbers.

(c) EMBA alumni before the Class 2006 can be mixed to form a team, whereas Class 2007 / 2008 / 2009 needs to form a team based on the year of class.

Remarks 1: Although the rule states that each team requires 2 female and 2 male reserves, as long as a team has more than 7 people, it can join the competition. However, if anyone is absent, people not on the list cannot fill the vacancy or nor one runner can run twice. Therefore, although it is not a must to have 11 team members, it is still suggested to have at least 1 female and 1 male reserves.

F.       Awards

Organizer will select six top staff and student teams plus three top alumni teams to award them with group trophies and individual medals (only for those who have participated in the second half competition); besides, Student Union will prepare exquisite souvenirs for alumni who participate in the event. After the competition, there will also be a lucky draw for alumni at the scene.
