The 19th Annual NTU EMBA New Students Enrollment Ceremony Consummated in Perfection

 

The NTU EMBA new student recruitment has finished in December 2014. Total 164 students have been accepted in five sections of business administration, accounting, finance, international business, and information management. The new students of Class 104 come from different industries with diversified professional background; it is expected that brand new ideas will be inspired in their future student life.

 

The EMBA Office has organized a solemn and grandeur enrollment ceremony for the new students on January 18. In additions to the faculty of the College of Management and representatives of NTU EMBA Alumni Foundation and Student Association, Professor Zhuang Rong-hui, dean of academic affairs of NTU, has also addressed at the ceremony to encourage and congratulate the new students. Our top boss, Dean Guo Rui-xiang of College of Management, has reminded them that every new students is expected to bring the innovation spirit to the fullest in every aspect of their lives. Professor Xie Ming-hui, NTU EMBA CEO, has asked the new students to adopt the learning spirit of NTU EMBA: focus on one subject, allow inspiration from two sides, keep a teamwork of three, and adaptive to four quadrants. They must not only keep partners who share the same goals and ideas to be influential, but also keep an open mind to embrace differences and aim beyond the next level.

 

One of the climax moments in the ceremony is banner hand-over. Deans of respective departments handed over the banner that embodies the spirit and ideas of NTU EMBA to the student representatives. The banner hand-over ritual not just symbolizes the delivery of knowledge, but also carrying forward a great legacy. After the ceremony the EMBA Office has especially arranged a NTU Campus tour that covers many famous NTU scenic sites like the Fu’s Bell, the library, and the Palm Avenue. In exuberance and excitement, the new students stopped to take photos together for memory.

 

In the end is time for individual classes. General affairs and tips for study proprietary to respective classes are explained; class teacher, class assistant, senior students, and the new students are introduced to each other. With ice-breaking activities, the shy and timid bunch quickly turned into lively.
