Reunions of the Twentieth Anniversary of EMBA 1997 Class and Tenth Anniversary of EMBA 2007 Class

The reunion of the EMBA 2007 class was held on August 20. Lots of alumni got together in the event to retrospect the past decade, and looked forward to hand-in-hand recreating the incredible of 2007.

The reunion of the EMBA 1997 class was held at the Hong Jian-Quan Memorial Hall on the 10th floor of the Management School. Among the VIPs were Mr. Zhang Hong-Zhang, the former dean of Management School; Mr. Guo Rui-Xing, the current dean of Management School; Mr. Tang Mingzhe and Mr. Li Jiren, former EMBA CEOs; Ms. Hsieh Ming-Huei, the current EMBA CEO; and Professor Qiu Xian-Bi of Institute of Finance.

The reunion of the EMBA 1997 class designed a warm feedback tree plan, inspired by a vehicle donated to the Good Shepherd Foundation by Xu Jia-Li, an alumnus of the EMBA 1997 class, for helping with the transport issues facing the remote school children. This plan triggered the alumni’s conception of being contributive social elites in feedback to the society, by inducing commercial innovations to helping more people in need.

Congregating at the Hall, the A, B, C groups of the EMBA 1997 class and their advising teachers watched the old pictures posted on the wall and retrospected campus life back in 1997. They immersed in the good old days, when they were strange to the new environment in the beginning, and then it was the softball games and round-the-island bike journey that got them familiar with one another. They loved the feel of endeavoring together in the good old EMBA time.

The 2017 EMBA class had the first ever advising teacher establishment. Mr. Guo Rui-Xing, the then advising teacher for Group C and now the dean of Management School, said, “A decade passed like time flies, yet the bonding between the teachers and students are forever. Today, I’m very happy to get together with you all as an advising teacher.” The friendship built in the class has never faded. What a blessing.
