Developing more trans-university courses has always been one of NTU EMBA’s core principles, with a vision to provide more opportunities for students to exchange their ideas, and to sparkle a multi-directional thinking. We have been cooperating with China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai to provide exchange courses since 2017. Professors from the respective universities take turns to instruct at the other university, together with students joining into one class. Following the visit of 30 CEIBS students to NTU in December, 2017, Professor Ming-Je Tang had led 30 of NTU EMBA students to Shanghai for class instruction from 17th to 20th, March, 2018.

Professor Tang brought up the theme “Strategic innovation and Competition strategy” through a series of ingenious course designs and his humorous teaching style. 60 students from the 2 universities learnt to analyze issues, construct the logics behind these issues and raise the corresponding proposals. During the 4-days course, not only did the students get to participate in case study discussions and strategic tool practices, but also a visit to Opple lighting and Freshhema.

Besides acquiring professional knowledge, students have also enjoyed each other’s company. Through the development of their cross-strait friendship, a new milestone has been set for CEIBS and NTU.
