The College of Management was bustling with more than 100 alumni members who gathered to attend the Reunion at School for Class 2006 on August 20 organized by NTU EMBA, where they watched the reminiscence video compiled NTU EMBA and remembered once again the good old days. As the faculty members recounted the great achievements of Class 2006, the memories come back just like yesterday.

Class 2006 students were the first Guinea Pigs of full-scale case study adopted by NTU EMBA, and these highly regarded students won the grand prize of national case study contest, evidencing that NTU EMBA 2.0 is officially rolling out. In addition to academic efforts, all sorts of sports and student clubs began to thrive with Class 2006, paving the road for today’s popular triathlon and Gobi Challenge. The same goes to the softball games; our player’s sportsmanship and the cheering squad always win the best team spirit award, regardless of the game result. “You should know by now that the tough moments you have endured are your most wonderful and memorable moments in life,” Dean Guo Ruei-Xiang; Dean of College of Management, says with a smile.

NTU EMBA has started the 10-year Reunion At School event since 2013. It is not only a social event; these former students are to take on challenges at the College of Management: taking class, rehearsal sports team war cry, and complete puzzles. They work on case study in classroom, they raved themselves to hoarse at each check points, and they are committed to accomplish their missions. The fun does not end here; during the gala dinner, they re-enact the student president election, re-perform their graduation show, and guessing games. They live their 3-year student life again in one day.

The Reunion At School is not only for reminiscence. Every decade is an important new start. Xie Ming-Hui, CEO, NTU EMBA shared in this rare reunion the change of NTU EMBA over the last decade. Starting from 2016, NTU EMBA dedicates itself to creative entrepreneurship by pooling resources from 3000-strong alumni members. Xie invites Class 2016 to join the Creative Entrepreneurship’s Action Learning Program as mentors, investment angels, or kick-starters. NTU EMBA is dedicated to build a bridge to creative entrepreneurship by combining the resources from Taidah Entrepreneurship Center, Career Development Office, and Service for Executive Education Development.

Class 2006 went back home not only with the day’s sweet memory, but also new tasks. As NTU EMBA celebrates its 20th anniversary, adopts the direction of social innovation, and advocates corporate social responsibility, it wishes many developed enterprises to use their influences and lend helping hands to the germinating innovation businesses, allowing these businesses that dedicate all their efforts to public welfare to solve problems in our society and pursue sustainable society development by adopting social innovation. Yellow ribbons flown in glory at the 10-year Reunion. These former students shall carry forward a noble cause and assume new responsibilities given by their alma mater as they go back to their daily life, where they shall spread the social fulfillment spirit of NTU EMBA.
