A video specially produced for the graduating students recorded the moments of the past 3 years. Graduating students of Class 2013 danced passionately on the stage in their master gowns. Their dance might not be very smooth, but their groovy body language and joyous faces had shown their team spirit with young energy and seamless cooperation.

According to Huang Bing-Zhang, representative of Taipei Class 2013, an EMBA diploma had been an idea since 1998 when he was 46 but sat on that idea until 60, a not very young age. He asked himself should he wait for another 14 years? He humorously said, he didn’t want not knowing whom to call when he reaches for his cell phone. Huang also said that NTU is a treasure vault of knowledge where every day is brilliant. Having spent 3 years with the top elites in Taiwan, he found the best friends in his teachers and best teachers in fellow students. He wished his fellow graduating students who now have access to a relation network of 3,000 alumni members a more bountiful and beautiful future.

The Program combines the resources of the top universities across Taiwan Strait. Xie Ci-Wen, representative of graduating students of the Program, said that choosing the Program proved to be a smart move. Re-opening the Time Bottle and return to zero

Xie Ming-Hui, CEO, NTU EMBA, wanted the graduating students to remember their spirit and determination they carried when they walked pass the university gate 3 years ago, and return to zero as they now graduate. Returning to zero allows them to think outside the box. Xie gave the graduating students a benevolent admonition: “Be 18 again and dare to dream. A common student freshly out of college is usually in dearth, and that dearth is the best motivator for their pursuit of dreams.” The O-Camp on March 9 and 10, 2013 was the first activity that Class 2013 had taken since enrollment; in the activity they were asked to write a letter to themselves and seal the letter in a bottle. In the graduation ceremony, Xie grant the students a sword as a symbol of re-opening these bottles.

4 students shared their letters in the ceremony. Zhan Hui-Zhu said that no time is better than now, the moment when she finished this journey of knowledge. She wanted to give 100 Likes to all graduating students. Jiang Ming-Heng said that after years of working his spirit had been worn out already. It was his wife who encouraged him to try NTU EMBA, and he was admitted, and his ordinary life becomes extraordinary ever since. Lin Zhong-Zhang humorously said that he has learned quite a few things. First, the less he tries to control his company, the more business his company achieves. Second, a 3 km run use to be an equivalence of death penalty for him, but now he is a triathlon contender. For all graduating students, these 3 years have been a wonderful journey of physical and spiritual refinement.

These EMBA students coming from different backgrounds have been brought together to create across different industries, and in the future they will continue to fulfill NTU EMBA’s value of self-breakthrough and mission of social innovation.
