Dear NTU EMBA alumni,

Faced with ever-changing, treacherous global economy, digital convergence is pushing business model to constant evolution. Keeping in line with the economic trend and creating values are the critical tasks for managers. When the center of gravity of the world, in particular, is rapidly shifting to Asia, the role of Chinese businesses in global economy development is more important than ever. Having said so, Chinese businesses are now feeling the peril weight of the need of relieving the entrepreneur generation with a new generation, and the key to sustainable operation for Chinese businesses shall be developing an effective system of management heritage with culture-brewed management paradigm.

The Heritage of Chinese Enterprise Leadership class, based on the Heritage of Benevolent Governance class (王道薪傳班) jointly founded by myself and Professor Chen, Ming-zhe, chairperson of the American Management Association (美國管理學會), is a development program, which combines the NTU College of Management’s structure of high-level management knowledge to establish the philosophy of benevolent governance as “value creation, balanced interest, and sustainable operation” and to develop high-level managers’ strategic leadership. The first program offered earlier this year has received great participation and high regard among the businesses, and the second Heritage of Chinese Enterprise Leadership class is about to open for registration.

The second Heritage of Chinese Enterprise Leadership class is a 6-day program is conducted in two modules; one at the Taoyuan Aspire Resort (Nov. 28 – 30, 2013) and another one at the NTU College of Management (Jan. 16 – 18, 2014). In addition to carrying forward the learning features of the Benevolent Governance class, top Chinese instructors are retained from domestic and foreign areas to teach in the class. The program also includes enterprise best practice discussion on the newly developed domestic/foreign benchmark enterprises case study. Entrepreneurs and managers will share their first-hand experiences in the program as well. The program advocates the philosophy of benevolent governance and develops new generation enterprise leaders with professionalism and humanity. During the length of the program both of us will assume the program directors all the way through and learn and share with all participants.

We wholeheartedly hope that you, who would like to take the initiative in organization growth and transformation, or your echelon of leaders or key prospects will sign up to this unique learning platform and become members of the elite network through the Benevolent Governance class and NTU College of Management High-level Operation Management class. To allow those who are interested a chance to learn and experience, we will organize a Learning and Experience Exchange Workshop, and we sincerely invite you to participate. Should you need further service, please don’t hesitate to contact Miss Liao, Mei-lan (mlliao@ntu.edu.tw Tel: 02-3366-1731) or Miss Xie, Miao-qin (ahsieh@wangdaomp.org Tel: 02-3518-3963).
