Dear NTU EMBA Alumni,

As the world’s focus is gradually moving towards Asia, the role that Chinese enterprises play in the development of global economy now drags more attentions. How they face the diverse environment to master opportunities for innovation and growth, and to effectively establish a business transformation model; how entrepreneurs pass the baton to next generation and develop an effective leadership succession system, all of these will be the keys for Chinese companies to step towards a sustainable business development.

As national enterprises have more demands in pursuing a growth in innovation and succession deployment, the NTU College of Management has co-planned the “Business Leader Program for Chinese Enterprises” with Taiwan’s Godfather of entrepreneurship and branding, Mr. Stan Shih. Built on the structure of “Wangdao Business Leader Program”, this high-end development course discusses Wangdao business concepts and applications in a systematic way, and integrates experiences in cultivating executive managers in order to promote the Wangdao spirit and a sustainable development for enterprises.

The “Business Leader Program for Chinese Enterprises” contains two modules totally lasted 6 days, which will be held in Taoyuan Aspire Park (from 09 to 11 MAY) and NTU College of Management (from 27 to 29 JUN) respectively. Based on business strategic deployment, dynamic competition concept, organization performance and inheritance, platform and ecological strategies, growth of innovation and transformation, talent cultivation and development, sustainable development and other core themes, this course aims to deepen the Wangdao business concepts of “creating values, balancing interests and developing a sustainable business”. That is, to cultivate the new generation business leaders with professionalism and humanity by offering a systematic knowledge structure with the quintessence of corporate practices, discussing newly developed national and international corporate cases, and sharing entrepreneurs and operators’ personal experiences.

Apart from Chairperson Stan Shih and I, who will host this program, we also invited Professor Ming-Je Tang, Professor Shuen-Zen Liu, Professor Wen-Bing Tsai, an excellent Chinese management scholar of Pennsylvania State University, and Professor Wei-Ru Chen from China Europe International Business School to co-lecture this course. Besides, this course has also invited renowned business people and entrepreneurs to share with us their techniques of managing a business in the class. On the other hand, Mr. Stan Shih will also provide some advises based on individual enterprises’ succession related issues.

We sincerely invite you to attend or recommend executive managers whom you know well to register this program. Through this program, you will not only become a member of the elite network of NTU College of Management’s executive management class and “Wangdao Business Leader Program”, but also be able to learn the Wangdao concepts as well as methods and techniques for enterprises to have a sustainable development. To offer people an experiential learning opportunity, we will hold “Seminar of Experiential Learning” in north and south.
