Congratulations! The EMBA alumni Ming-Ju Wang of Class 2006 was elected the “Top 5 Top CIO”. This “Contest of 2012 Cross-Strait Excellent CIO” was held by Taiwan’s “CIO Manager” magazine and the mainland of China’s “IT CEO & CIO in Information Times” magazine. With his excellent result is “IT builds up a virtuous interaction in treatment”, Ming-Ju Wang has won the honor of “Top 5 Top CIO” award!

The NTUH Deputy Dean Ming-Ju Wang Received the Honor of Being the Top 5 of Cross-Strait Excellent CIO Contest

In order to well-use the information technology and make medical services closer to human needs, NTUH has, under the Deputy Dean Professor Ming-Ju Wang’s plan, installed the RFID-based medical equipment tracking device system, the electronic white board ward dynamic management mechanism, the electronic medical record system for intensive care unit, automatic examination process, laboratory information system and some other major IT basic and cross-platform system integration to create a new border of caring and communicating.

 

Due to this excellent performance, the Deputy Dean Ming-Ju Wang has, with his excellent performance of “IT builds up a virtuous integration in treatment”, won the “Top 5 Top CIO” award in the “Contest of 2012 Cross-Strait Excellent CIO” held by Taiwan’s “CIO Manager” magazine and the mainland of China’s “IT CEO & CIO in Information Times”

With his core concept of “patients as the first, respecting patients, and caring colleagues”, Deputy Dean Wang is dedicated to: plan and promote innovative ICT applications in order to simplify the medical operation process and to ease medical personnel’s pressures; through an efficient and friendly information service, enhance the communication and efficiency between medical personnel and patients; further enhance the medical quality and receive affirmation and praises. All of these have once again shown that NTUH is not only a topnotch teaching hospital as well as a research and development hospital, but also a quality hospital that guides Taiwanese people’s health.

NTUH’s innovative IT system not only sets up a paragon of strengthening medical quality in the medical industry of Taiwan, but also becomes a standard for related industries in other countries to visit and learn.
