The 12th NTU EMBA Softball Game began amidst exciting cheering in the jubilant October. The Game took place at the Dazhi-Meiti Baseball Field from Oct. 24 through 25, where the war cries from the teams overwhelmed the drizzling, cloudy weather. The number of participating teams reached a record high; total 21 teams, including the Faculty Team form the NTU College of Management. With sportsmanship, all teams gave their best and fought for the ultimate glory.

The NTU EMBA Softball Game has been a major annual event for the EMBA Office; the cross-grade Game carries legacy and tradition and is a great opportunity for friendship bonding among the students of different grades/years, and both faculty and the students may demonstrate themselves outside classrooms. This event series is also designed with the concept of “carnival for parents and children” in mind. Students are encouraged to bring their families and friends to the event, where numerous games and facilities are prepared for both adults and kids to have fun on the holidays. This year charity was included for the first time. Social welfare groups, including the Child Welfare League, Yu-Ren Center, and Taiwan Foundation for Rare Disorders, were invited to run a charity bazaar and sell parenting goods, home-made cookies, oil rice, stewed dishes, and thirst-crunching soft drinks. The “Love and Power” spirit of NTU EMBA Softball Game was therefore further extended through sharing.

With the support from the alumni members and current students, the NTU EMBA Softball Game has gone through more than 10 years, and the EMBA Office aims to provide even better and thoughtful hardware and services. We believe that with our joint efforts the event series will make the big family of NTU EMBA even closer and stronger. However, there will be winners and losers in any game, but this Game will be our common memory that someday in the future we will all grin when looking back at this day.

The jade-like green, the spraying red dirt, and the loud acclaim; let us meet again at the next year’s NTU EMBA Softball Game.
