Mainland China is gradually becoming the center of global economy, and in responding to this trend NTU EMBA and Shanghai Fudan University have joined to establish the NTU-Fudan EMBA Program as to offer one of its kind way for elites among industries to pursue further study. NTU-Fudan EMBA Program, established in 2010, is seeing its 5th year; the recruitment this year begins on 6/16 and ends 9/9. Oral exam on 9/21 and result announced on 9/29. Total 30 top managers and entrepreneurs are granted entrance.

A welcome tea-party is tossed by NTU EMBA Office on 10/8 for the new recruits; a number of active students also appear in the party to share their study experience and answer questions about students’ accommodation and transportation as to expedite a rapid assimilation to the big family of NTU-Fudan class among the new recruits. Total 25 students of Classes 1, 2, 3, and 4 have joined the party; a demonstration of high NTU-Fudan integration. Chi-long Gao, from Mainland China, appears unexpectedly to share his experience, bringing the party to its climax. As Gao said, students from Mainland China have commonly experienced the friendliness and soft strength demonstrated by the Taiwanese students, and that is the reason he has hired an army of Taiwanese high-ranking managers.

As economic industry on each side of the Strait has its own different development and culture, brilliant ideas are always created in the mingling among the students. Putting together CEO- and top manager- students of different backgrounds of growth, ideologies held by both sides of the Strait are brought closer than ever and resources from accumulative four thousand EMBA Alumni members can be leveraged.

Currently the NTU-Fudan class has a gender ration of 7 male to 3 female, and the majority fall into an age group of 40-49. Most of the students are CEOs and top managers in manufacturing, electronics/information, and finance/insurance businesses. More students are coming from service, media/culture, real estate, and bio-tech sectors. Qualification of NTU-Fudan EMBA program stipulates 50% score in written exam and credential review and another 50% in oral exam. Criteria for application include university diploma or the equivalent with 10 years of more of working experience.
